MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Tell everyone on this earth to sing happy songs in praise of the Lord!

Hello everybody!

This morning I had a wonderful moment with the Lord!
I have opened my Bible randomly and I give attention to this:

25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing praises to God, while the other prisoners listened. 26 Suddenly a strong earthquake shook the jail to its foundations. The doors opened, and the chains fell from all the prisoners.
27 When the jailer woke up and saw that the doors were open, he thought that the prisoners had escaped. He pulled out his sword and was about to kill himself. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! No one has escaped.”
29 The jailer asked for a torch and went into the jail. He was shaking all over as he knelt down in front of Paul and Silas. 30 After he had led them out of the jail, he asked, “What must I do to be saved?”
31 They replied, “Have faith in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved! This is also true for everyone who lives in your home.”
(Acts 16:25-31)

I know that the prison is not a cozy place, so I think Paul and Silas were in difficulties, but they were praying and singing praises to God"

This can sound strange.

In pain and difficulties, I was used to cry and to ask God to help me.
I said Please please help me God, listen to my prayer, help me, make this situation go well.

But now after a long time, I understand that I was wrong.

I know sometimes we are so tired and we don't have the strenght to carry on and we just can say help me God.
It's normal, we are human being.
But He listens, always.

Now I have grown as a woman, I realized that I changed my mind.

We have the salvation under the corner, God is with us.
The secret to be able to escape from today's overwhelming situations is giving praise to the Lord. You have to fly away with the praise wings.

This is not a momentary emotion, but it comes from a living faith.

23 But a time is coming, and it is already here! Even now the true worshipers are being led by the Spirit to worship the Father according to the truth. These are the ones the Father is seeking to worship him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship God must be led by the Spirit to worship him according to the truth.
(John 4:23-24)

If you are crossing the desert alone, first, remember that you are not alone.
If you praise the Lord, always and especially when you are in pain, countless blessings will invade your life.

If you always praise the Lord, you will be able to control your emotions and chase away your pessimism about a situation. Everything will be ok!

Tell everyone on this earth

    to sing happy songs
    in praise of the Lord.

(Salms 98:4)

Much love,

Room by room - step 1 - Bathroom

Good morning!
Finally Spring is here..when I think about this season, I can't not to think about my grandmother.
She was a wonderful woman and she taught me a lot of things.
In particular I remember the days spent together when I was a child. What a sweet memory!
I was used to always ask my parents to lead me to my grandmother.

We spent a lot of afternoons together.
She was a great homemaker, with my mom she passed on me the love of our home. She showed me how to cook, to clean, to keep house and the particular thing is that she made see this fact of keeping house like a sweet task, she always said, "Oh now let me see what you can do my little homemaker!".

I love her!

So as I said before, spring is arrived and as my grandmother taught me, it's time to renew our home.

So I have join to Room by Room!
It's a wonderful idea! You can read about this in Marci's Blog - Thankful homemaker.
She started with bathroom, now she talking about kitchen.
I start now with my bathroom, I know I'm late, but as we italian say...Meglio tardi che mai! (Late is better that never!).

Than while I was decluttering my bathroom I have found this blog called Our simple country life , in which they are making a challenge "Heart & home clean sweep", so I decided to join.

So, let's start!

I have taken some photos BEFORE:

Now after a strong decluttering afternoon  and 2 HUGE garbage bags:

So, my new decluttered bathroom!!!!

I'm so happy, now I always found what I'm looking for...before the decluttering I wasn't able to find a single thing...(I discovered that I have 5 packages of the same medicine...I didn't find it so I continued to buy it!).

So now I would like to thank for their wonfìderful ideas, that were so inspiring for me:

Decluttering is a useful way to have a better organized home, because it allows you to clean faster and to live in a more comfortable and cozy home.

I know that cleaning and keeping a house can be hard sometimes, when you have too many things to do.
But, ladies, we have this splendid task, we have to learn to appreciate it.
We don't do this just for us, but for our family.
For the love of our family.
I'm blessed when my husband comes home and smiles me saying that I have done a good job and that he's proud of me.

I don't have any kids yet, but I'm looking forward to grow up my little family.
If I have a daughter, I will try to pass on her the love for home.

I love being a homemaker!
It's a gift!

I was blessed and inspired reading this book too, it's wonderful and I know that many of you know about it.
If you don't know this book, I encourage you to read it, it's really inspiring, through it you will understand that keeping house is not an ungrateful and unappreciated task, but it's a pleasure and so important:

I'm also taking part in a link-up at this lovely blog: Ashley at Southern Mama & Wife !

Thanks for reading this loooooong post!

Blessed be your name Lord / Benedetto il nome del Signore

Good morning!
It's Monday morning here, a new week is coming!
When I opened the windows, I looked outside, the sun was high, my husband was still sleeping, there was still a little bit of quiteness of the night, so I decided to take a moment with the Lord.
I was overwhelmed by a lot of thoughts about what to do in this week, about the difficulties, problems to be solved. I had a moment of discouragment.

But then a ray of light passed through my heart and I told to my self...Benedetto il nome del Signore (Blessed be your name my Lord).
I'm with you Lord, I have no fear.

But Moses answered, “Don’t be afraid! Don’t run away! Stand where you are and watch the LORD save you today. You will never see these Egyptians again. 14 You will not have to do anything but stay calm. The LORD will do the fighting for you.”
(Exodus 14:13)

So I stay calm and start my day, I will go hard at my duty today, I will do my best, I won't have fear because I know the Lord is taking care of me.

So don't be afraid today, you are not alone.
The Lord is fighting with you and for you.

So we bless you Lord!
Have a blessed day!

Thanks for visiting me!

What can I do to be a wiser woman today?

I have always considered the Bible as a guiding light, a special handbook, a gift  that God gave us to help us here on earth.
I read the Bible.
We read the Bible.
This is wonderful, because we brothers and sisters speak the same language and we can grow up as a worlwide community.
Amazing!!!

As I said we read The Word, but how can we make live It in our life?

Yes, we can memorize some verses. This is so useful and it's a blessing everytime we remember one verse or we share with others.
We can think about the meaning of them, deepening.

But those verses we read should make a mark inside our heart.

Everyday we should do something to really live the Gospel.
Even little things in everyday life.

So today what can I do to be a better christian today

This is my today list:
  • I will control my tongue: before saying something, I will reflect and ponder, because I don't want to hurt my neighbour.
  • If someone hurts me, I won't reply in an agressive way, but with kindness.
  • I will forgive if my neighbour hurts me and I will try to cancel my "human" resentment in my heart.
  • I will ask God to bless my enemies and to change them in friends.
  • I won't be selfish and I will focus on needs of people around me, family, friends, strangers. I will be ready to listen them. With my smile, my words and my silent prayer, I'll try to help.
  • I will thank God for being always there for us.
  • I will spend more time reading the Word today, so tomorrow I will be able to live It.
And you, what is in your heart for today?
What could you do to live the Gospel today?

Thanks for visiting!

Repentance...what does it mean?

I was relaxing a moment on Youtube with my cup of tea when I found this video in an Italian Christian channel. There is the italian translation infact, but Paul Washer speaks english.

I don't know who Paul Washer is, but I can tell you that I'm really impressed about the things he said, in particular about the way he explained things about sins, repentance.

I have no words.
It's all clear.

Just a thought come in to my mind.
Every morning, when we wake up in our cozy bed, when we open our eye and start the day, the first thing we should say is: "Thank you Jesus, for all".

If you are Christian, you know why you are thanking Him.
If you are not a Christian, please, watch this video.

Thanks for visiting!
Please come back soon!

Musing on a comfortable sofa

Here I am!

I'm writing you from our little comfortable super cozy sofa.

Do you know that this sofa has got the power of making relaxing and sleeping every single person who sits down?

My friend Moni and her future husband comes here on Saturday evening very very often. They are our Best Friends!
We are used to have dinner together: so we girls in the afternoon think about what to cook, we go out to buy the ingredientes, if I don't have them at home.
Than dinner time arrives and we start to cook while we talk about our week.
We prepare a rich table than we eat, talk together, having a lot of fun, because we love when we are all together.
Ok, than I clean the kitchen, turn on the dishwasher...now the moment arrives....

The boys start to play with cards and Moni and I sit on THE sofa...
We start to talk, then we watch a movie on tv....ok...15 minutes later we sleep on the sofa......

This afternoon I turn on TV and I found the tv series Bewitched.
The second season. I love so much Bewitched!

But

Do you know why I love so much this series?

I love the way Samantha and Darrin lives.

They love each other so much.
She's a happy housewife, she takes care of her family and always put in second place the fact to have magical power to please her husband and children.

Maybe this post I'm writing will be considered stupid, too old fashioned, chauvinist (even if I'm a woman).

I reapeat again I love the way Samantha and Darrin lives.

Samantha's magical power symbolize all that a "modern" woman call job or realization outside home.
Samantha understands and knows that her power can cause problems to her husband, so she chooses family and this is not a real sacrifice for her, because she loves her husband and not only herself. Her relatives always came to visit her and tell her that she should use magic, but she is keeps still on her decision.

Forgive me for the extreme comparison...but Samantha's behavior is similar to the concept of Biblical Role for a woman.
I have read a book that talks about Biblical Role of a woman ( Fascinating Womanhood ). I will talk about this book very soon. I agree with it about this topic.

When a woman understands that family is the most important thing of the world, we have the key to reach happiness.

I'm not saying that a working woman is bad (maybe there are situations today in which she has to work to help family), but it's a problem of attitude.
If a woman works with the thought of helping family and she stands till on her role is ok, but if she works outside just thinking about her career deliberately neglecting her family, in this case we have a problem.

The Perfect Wife
10 How hard it is to find the perfect wife.
She is worth far more than jewels.
11 Her husband depends on her.
   He will never be poor.
12 She does good for her husband all her life.
   She never causes him trouble.
13 She is always gathering wool and flax
and enjoys making things with her hands.
14 She is like a ship from a faraway place.
She brings home food from everywhere.
15 She wakes up early in the morning,
cooks food for her family, and gives the servants their share.
16 She looks at land and buys it.
She uses the money she has earned and plants a vineyard.
17 She works very hard.
She is strong and able to do all her work.
18 She works late into the night
to make sure her business earns a profit.
19 She makes her own thread
   and weaves her own cloth.
20 She always gives to the poor
and helps those who need it.
21 She does not worry about her family when it snows.
She has given them all good, warm clothes.
22 She makes sheets and spreads for the beds,
and she wears clothes of fine linen.
23 Her husband is a respected member of the city council,
where he meets with the other leaders.
24 She makes clothes and belts
and sells them to the merchants.
25 She is a strong person,  and people respect her.
She looks to the future with confidence.
26 She speaks with wisdom
and teaches others to be loving and kind.
27 She oversees the care of her house.
   She is never lazy.
28 Her children say good things about her.
Her husband brags about her and says,
29 “There are many good women,
   but you are the best.”
30 Grace and beauty can fool you,
but a woman who respects the LORD should be praised.
31 Give her the reward she deserves.
Praise her in public for what she has done.

This is as it should be.
I do believe it.

A verse from the Bible

I'm loving this verse...

The Lord bless you and keep you.
25 The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you.
26 The Lord lift up his face to you
and grant you peace.

Number 6:24-26

How do you feel reading this verse? What are your thoughts about?

The words that I'm thinking are:

- love
- paece
- protection
- smiles with a happy heart

And you?
What do this verse inspire you ?(...I don't know if the grammar "situation" is correct here---forgive this italian girl :-) )  ?

Lovely Monday Night

Hello everybody,

this was a lovely night here in Italy, it's 23.50 pm now.
I have to say that I'm a little tired, because today I have done so many things!
But I'm happy.
We had an "abundant" dinner...fish with mashed potatoes and greenbeans...Tiramisù for dessert..maybe we ate too much!
After dinner, we took a looong seat on our comfortable little sofa watching Tv, X factor..love music so much!

Now it's time to go to sleep..

But I would like to share with you this:

My child, listen carefully
    to everything I say.
21     Don’t forget a single word,
    but think about it all.
22 Knowing these teachings
    will mean true life
and good health for you.  (Proverbs 4: 20-22)

This is a touching verse for me.
I feel protected, I don't have to search for this and for that, I don't have to go on with blind eyes.
God gave us life, but he didn't leave us alone here on this earth without a guide.
He gave us the knowledge , He gave us the Bible.
And I want to read it with all my heart.

He gave us eyes to read the Word
He gave us ears to listen the Word
He gave us a brain to understand the Word
He gave us a heart to treasure the Word

Good night!

Welcome!

Hello Everybody!
This is the first post of this blog!
I'd like to say a lot of things, but I still have some problems with my english, that I'm trying to improve.  15 years ago I was a perfect English speaker, but I haven't used it a lot after school, so I'm forgetting it!
So, Please, forgive my grammatical errors (I have the feeling my errors will be so numerous, but I have faith..).

Here I will talk about my new life as a wife, one year ago I married my sweet best friend, my love.

"A loving marriage is the foundation of a happy family and a happy family the foundation of a stable society. Most of the problems in this world stem from troubled home. If we are to have peace in the world, we must begin at home." - Helen Andelin

If you are thinking about how to do it, it's simple, we have the best guidebook at our disposal , The Bible!
We women, wives, mothers, daughters must bring to light again our biblical role in this troubled world.

In this blog I would like to encourage you to do this.

Thank you much for visiting!
